Peter B. Welch



Pete joined Elderkin & Pirnie, PLC in 2016 as a result of Crawford Sullivan merging with the firm.  Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Pete finished high school in Fullerton, California and attended San Diego State University.  Commissioned an Ensign in November 1972, he served six years in nuclear submarines.  He returned to Cedar Rapids in 1981 to work in a family enterprise commercial bank.  He was a Senior Vice President Trust Manager with Wells Fargo Bank.  He retired in 2002 from the United States Naval Reserve as a Captain.  He is married to Marlene Meyer of Cedar Rapids and they have three adult children: Laurel, Andrew, and Rebecca.
