Trial Practice Group

The attorneys in our Trial Practice Group have extensive experience in all types of litigation before federal courts, state courts, and administrative agencies, as well as in arbitrations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolutions. Elderkin & Pirnie attorneys have joined the firm after gaining background while clerking for judges and serving in other public sector departments such as the County Attorney and State Attorney General. The Trial Practice Group includes attorneys licensed to practice in Iowa, Illinois, and several federal jurisdictions.

Appellate Practice
Our attorneys regularly brief and argue appeals before both federal and state appellate courts.

We handle tort litigation and contract interpretation for insurers, with experience in the areas of automobile, property, commercial, employment, and malpractice insurance.

Labor and employment disputes
We assist both employees and employers in matters involving allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and violations of wage and hour laws.

Legal Malpractice
Members of our Trial Practice Group have a depth of experience representing attorneys exposed to suit or possible suit for malpractice.

Medical Malpractice
Our attorneys do significant work in the area of medical malpractice. We defend hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers in malpractice actions, as well as plaintiffs bringing medical malpractice claims.

Personal Injury
